ROBERT SCHABERL (AUSTRIA)
Born in Feldbach in Styria, Austria. Studied Art at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Worked for four years in Berlin and Miami and during this period he began to develop his main motive, the “central shapes”. These are reduced to rounded forms, the result of reflection, light reflection and several layers of paint to change the colour, and spatial effect of the image, depending on the observational perspective. Works in Vienna since 2002. Was represented amongst others by the galleries Kashya Hildebrand, Hollenbach, de Karpio+Facchini Gallery, Lausberg Contemporary and Jacob Karpio Gallery.
